Every year, the public eagerly anticipates the arrival of the Coachella Music and Art Festival at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif. The event is one of the most recognized music festivals in the country. The Coachella Fest has a tendency to keep the public guessing about the lineup. Through blogs and MySpace, the public may plead and post their opinion, hoping to see some of their request come April.
Once the lineup is posted, there is a sigh of relief. Often, there is some doubt that the Coachella festival can top its previous year, but surely enough the Coachella festival always seems to do it year after year. Those who have witnessed the event are not surprised by the festival's ability to outdo itself. For those who haven't seen it, give Coachella Fest a try in 2010. Undoubtedly every year is filled with great excitement for anyone wishing to know the line up for Coachella Festival. Not knowing who's performing builds up the excitement every year.
1) Occasionally the headliners are somewhat of a surprise, both good and bad, but the performance is another shocker. Each performance is filled with so much energy intensity, it's mind blowing. Be prepared to have your socks blown of by the amount of force each artist puts into their performance.
2) There is no wonder as to what the weather might be at the Coachella festival — a blazing 100 degrees. It’s more of an excuse to wear the bare minimum. To some, walking around in a bathing suit may not sound as temping, but the view may sway some votes. Heed of warning that some people have fainted in previous years because of the heat, so drink water and rest in between shows.
3) The Coachella Festival might just be filled with the most extravagant, colorful and wild people many will ever come across. There is no doubt that cultures intermix, coming from all walks of life carrying some of the most outrageous and heart-filled stories. An assortment of unique fans show up at Coachella Fest year after year making it a huge platform to make a variety of friends and have an amazing time.
4) A surprising yet sophisticated taste in food is available. Music festivals are not usually known for having top-notch food, but Coachella Festival is an exception. Coachella Fest features a variety a Grade A food, including tenderloin steak, pork and beef barbecue sandwiches and jambalaya. The prices are a bit higher than usual starting from $7-$10, however your taste buds will be met with choices ranging from hot dogs to pan-fried chicken yummers.
5) Coachella is an overwhelming burst of emotions letting the inner beast come loose. The Coachella Festival's vibe is a cluster of frenzy and music mania. Stepping foot into the Coachella festival means putting all you inhibitions aside and for a day or two living in a world where all that matters is the love of music and living or reliving the good times.
