Indian Wells Club
Indian Wells, California
Story and photos by Nancy Laytham
The City of Indian Wells, Calif., held its first Independence Day Party Saturday night, July 4, and invited the public to join them at its Clubhouse, the IW Club.
Elegant dining was offered on the Clubhouse's second level. Casual dining took over the ground floor where traditional American hot dogs and hamburgers were served in the Beer and Wine Bar and Garden. Misters kept everyone cool. In addition, many participants decided to bring their own Picnic on the Lawn.

Many of the diners were fully decked out for the occasion of the Declaration of Independence.
All three levels of dining and their diners were treated an excellent 20-minute fireworks display followed by outdoor dancing to the live Fractured Ego Band in the warm and well-moonlit evening.
The City of Indian Wells later reported more than 1,000 people enjoyed this event.
All had a great time and chances are good it will return next year.
